Summer Time Fitness

Now that the weather is nice I can finally get out and have some fun in the outdoors. There is no better place to be active than outside. Today I took a quick break and we went out for a swim. We took the kids and walked down to our neighborhood pool and had a blast just hanging out in the sun. My son just got some new goggles and he would not take them off. It was hilarious. He stayed above water the whole time and didn't even 'use' them.

What to do to avoid bulging belly fat...

     I don't think there's any one magic thing to do to get a trim waistline.  If there was, everyone would be doing it, but there are two age old and time tested methods to getting in better health.  It's simply to be more active and to push the plate away when you're full.  This is a lot easier said than done in a world where we are constantly pulled in several directions.  Tons of people give the excuse that they would get more exercise or eat better if they just weren't so busy.  It's a valid excuse - I think I've used it before.  To make changes, it all starts with changing your mind about the excuse.  Instead of thinking "I don't have enough time to prepare a healthier lunch", think that you can take ten minutes in the morning, or the night before, and pack a lunch.  Or instead of thinking you don't have time to get exercise, think about taking a fifteen minute walk sometime during the day.  It's all about taking baby steps and working your way up from there.
